As part of its digitization strategy for 2017, and as part of the "Wir bilden Zukunft” (“we shape the future") project, Deutsche Bahn has decided on various initiatives to help managers prepare for the challenges of digitization. The DB Academy, as a strategic instrument of management development, has the core task of familiarizing and qualifying managers with the new requirements of digital transformation. The challenge is to create a positive basic attitude towards digitization among all managers and recognize possible opportunities and enthusiasm for new digital topics and technologies. The "Digital Basecamp" lays the foundation for this.
The main goal of the 1-day Digital Basecamp with 150 executives each is to raise awareness of the importance of digital transformation, to critically reflect on it and to highlight the opportunities it presents for one's own area of work. The Basecamp also promotes networking between the digital and "non-digital" areas of Deutsche Bahn.
Together with Deutsche Bahn, we piloted the first Digital Basecamp at the end of 2017. The event was a huge success and is being rolled out again this year. Our achievements are the concept for the entire event through a co-creation process with the customer. This includes the break-out sessions together with the digital lighthouse projects of Deutsche Bahn, the implementation of train-the-trainer measures, the iterative adaptation of the design, project management and control of the overall project, the implementation and co-moderation of the event as well as the organization and briefing of the speakers & partners.
